Hey There! It's nice to see you again, thanks for stopping by. Sign up for my RSS feed and never miss a post.
I’m sure most of you have heard of private label rights articles or PLR articles. If not, I’m about to hook you up with that knowledge. The term “private label rights” applies to both articles and software. In this post, I’ll be focusing on PLR articles, what they are and how you can take advantage of them, regardless of your blog’s niche. PLR articles are articles that have been previously published by an author. Many of these authors will sell you the “right” to use these articles on your blog or website. You can also find them given away freely as a gift for subscribing to a newsletter. They can be used as content as is or as an outline for a post. If you want to use PLR articles, do not use them as is. Let me say that one more time. Do not use them as is. Why? These are previously published articles and Google will spank you hard because your content is duplicated on God knows how many other websites or blogs. And even if you aren’t concerned about how the big G feels about your website or blog, I personally wouldn’t recommend you using any already published content.
To make a PLR article unique, you’ll need to rewrite it. Now, you can do this yourself or you can use what’s called an “article spinner”. An article spinner is a piece of software that will automatically rearrange an article for you. There’s actually much more to this kind of software than I’ll touch on here, but basically that’s what it does. I have used a few different versions of said software and while they do reword an article, more often than not, your article gets reworded to the point of not being readable. I have not yet run into an article spinner that you didn’t have to rework the article after using it and in my humble opinion, what’s the point in using one if you have to rework an article anyway after using it. Makes sense to me. Of course, that could just be me because I’ve seen blog posts that clearly were the result of someone using an article spinner and not proofreading the result.
But I digress. PLR articles are a great resource for any blogger to take advantage of. You can use them as inspiration, you can rework them and sell them as reports or an ebook, you can learn something you may have not known and if you follow internet marketing giveaways, you can get a ton of PLR content to work with for free. Well, not exactly. You do have to give up your email address. Nevertheless, I can tell you that I have learned quite a bit from using PLR articles as the source for many of my posts and I’d be remiss if I didn’t share that with you. Keep in mind that these articles are not just limited to the internet marketing niche. I don’t want you to have that impression. I personally have quite a few PLR articles that I really have no use for, given what this blog is about.
In case you’re wondering if I used a PLR article as a guide or as inspiration for this post and I know that you are (I would). Nope. I actually did some research via Google and wrote this all on my own. Neener. Neener. And that’s all I got to say about that.
That’s all for today, my friends. I hope this finds you having an awesome day/night.
Note to my sales page blogger friends – It’s a good idea for you to rework any sales content you’re using on your blog that you’ve gotten from the affiliate program you’re a member of, particularly if you’re relying on organic search engine traffic to make sales. You have no idea how many other people are using the same sales material to market the same product and that could be (I emphasize, could be) a reason why you may not be getting much traffic. Just saying.

I always wondered what those were. Thanks for explaining it.
