Many people resist things they don’t understand and that’s how I felt about WordPress for many years.  As I become more familiar with it and saw what it could do for my marketing, I became a convert.

WordPress Is Search Engine Friendly

Search engines love WordPress and there’s a good reason for that. The WordPress developers worked with the search engines to ensure that WordPress would be easily crawled and indexed.Search engines are able to easily crawl and index your blog’s content because of that. Then be sure to write some original content.

Pinging Your Blog

Pinging is by far one of the best features of a WordPress because it tells a web blog tracking system that your blog has been updated.  These pinging services are like search engine spiders for blogs.  It’s one of the fastest ways to tell the world that you’ve got new content.Find as many pinging services as you can because the more your blog is broadcast, the more visitors you’ll get.The URLs of the pinging services can be entered in the WordPress Settings – Writing – Update Services box.

Write as though you’re speaking to one person

  • Picture yourself as though you’re writing your article to a single person. This makes you appear more personable and will help keep your readers interested in what you write about.

Make good use of white space within what you write

  • Plenty of white space will make your article appear more professional. Also, breaking up long paragraphs into short 2-4 sentence paragraph will help keep your skim readers interested in your article and will make your article much easier to read.

Double and triple check your articles for errors

  • It’s imperative that you make sure you check your grammar, check for misspellings and the like. Remember, it’s your credibility you’re building and it only takes one missed mistake to ruin it for you.

Take note of any feedback you get for your article

Article marketing and internet marketing are not one and the same. Internet marketing is the broad concept that encompasses quite a few concepts within the it. Article marketing is just one of the many facets of web promotion. No internet marketing campaign is complete without some form of article marketing, the two just go hand in hand. Using articles as a means to market yourself or a product or service is a vital component of any complete internet marketing solution.

There are many ways you can use in an effort to get your name noticed. The problem for most (myself included) is that many of the available forms of marketing online require you to spend money. After all, advertising, for the most part, isn’t free. Advertising with articles, on the other hand, is generally free. People have been using this unique form of marketing for quite some time, long before ecommerce became the big thing. When speaking of ecommerce and internet marketing, article marketing is one of the best ways of getting your information out there and creating back links to your site, blog, or affiliate products.

Thanks, But I’m No Expert

I just wanted to thank those of us who consider me an expert. But truth is, I’m hardly the expert. I’ve not made one single dime off any online endeavor, including this blog, I’ve taken part in. It’s a fact that 98% of all the people who jump into online marketing fail. And I feel it’s important for you to know, I’m not in the 2% that makes it work.

As some of you who follow my wife’s blog already know, due to a number of reasons, we moved from Santee, California to Chamberlain, South Dakota, my wife’s hometown. Luckily, we were able to get into low income housing and we get by on food stamps, energy assistance and my wife’s unemployment insurance. I tell you this, not because I seek your pity, but because I think it’s important for you to know the truth.

How to Make it Easier to Write Articles

For many of us, writing an article just feels like it’s too much work or takes too much time. Not only that, many of us also fear all the work they’ve put into their articles goes to waste because no one reads them anyway. Or so they think. And then there’s those of us who feel reading articles is too much work or takes up a lot of time. In my opinion, there are inherent flaws in both likes of thinking.

Articles and blog posts are supposed to be read. And when articles and blog posts aren’t getting read, then and only then does writing an article or a blog post become a waste of time and energy. I receive comments from time to time asking for marketing tips that take less time than writing articles. And I have none. This is because all types of marketing, free or paid, require your time. And, to my knowledge, there’s no getting around that.

Believe it or not, you can start building a list simply by writing articles.

Simply type and send your articles on whatever your topic of expertise is to popular article directories where editors and readers of electronic publishing are looking for the information that you can provide.

Taking advantage of viral marketing efforts on article writing can be rewarding, if done well. In a real sense, this is actually proving their worth and demonstrates their knowledge of their business through the articles you write.

So, how can this method in effect build your mailing list? The answer: the resource box to attach to your articles. In your resource box (also known as bio box), including a brief detail about you and your business site together with its URL.

Now, while I do have a Twitter account, I’ll admit I’m not really that big on it, nor do I spend hours “twittering” away. Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is. But for those of you who do or for those of you new to Twitter, here’s a short presentation on making your Twitter experience easier and more gratifying. I figure I’m about 99.9% done with now with my EC drop pages. You can now drop 300 EC in a relatively short period of time. In an effort to be original, I chose to use each blog’s banner, as opposed to the title of the blog in text. Not only that, each banner links directly to its respective blog, so those of you on my list get some link love from me, for what it’s worth. I also did that in order to ensure that there’s no excuse, even using my EC drop tool, for not visiting any of the blogs on my list. I made these pages for people, like myself, who don’t always have the required 2-3 hour time commitment it takes to drop on 300 blogs. This tool, and other like them, give you the time you need to drive traffic to all of your blogs more efficiently with Entrecard.
